Olivia Cate - Two Months Old!

Olivia, you are two months old!! (as of October 14th). I said it last month and will probably say it every month, but I can't believe how fast the time is going by!

 Here's what you have been up to this month.

At your two month appointment with Dr. Ferguson, you weighed 12 pounds, 7 ounces

You were 24.25 inches long

You had your two month shots at this appointment. Your momma couldn't stand to watch you get them so your Mimi stayed in there with you while you got them. You cried for a minute but took them like a champ! You were not even fussy that night.

You are still not a big fan of your passy unless you are very sleepy

You still love your bath and you get one every other night.  

You are eating between 4-5 ounces every 3-4 hours. If you are sleepy, you usually only eat about 2 ounces.

You are still getting about half breast milk and half formula.

You were sleeping from 10-6 for a week and then you started to wake up every 3 hours again to eat. The past two nights you have slept from 11-6. We are hoping this continues! 

You have started staying awake longer during the day but you fight sleep and it makes you fussy.

You are doing better with your crib and you sleep in there every night. We had your moses basket in the crib for a week to get you used to the crib and when we took it out you weren't sleeping as well so we put the basket back in your crib and you are sleeping better. 

You still love your swing. 

You are wearing 3 month clothes and size one diapers. Some of the 3 month clothes are a little short on you because you are so long!

You like to be held.

Some nicknames we like to call you: Tootie, Tootie Bug, Doodlekins, Doodles, Livie, Livie Bear.

You like your car seat and sometimes when you are really fussy we put you in there and it calms you down. 

You love to go for rides in the car.

When you are fussy, you liked to be held and like for us to walk around with you. If we sit down, you start fussing again.

You love music. We bought you a soother for your crib and you seem to really like that. You also love your cat that plays music and has flashing lights. As soon as we turn it on, you get the biggest smile on your face!

You like to be outside and it seems to calm you down if you are upset. 

You started smiling at 9 weeks and have really gotten it down now. You have the biggest smile and it melts our hearts every time you smile at us! You probably think your daddy and me are crazy because of the things we do to try and get you to smile!!

I still kiss your cheeks about 5,463 times a day. They are so soft and even chunkier now and I love them! 

You are starting to discover your hands and play with them and put them in your mouth a lot.

I had to come back to work this month and it was really hard leaving you. I miss you like crazy during the day but love coming home and seeing your sweet face!

You continue to bless us each and every day. We are so thankful for you and cannot imagine our lives without you. You have taught us so much in your two short months and I know that you will continue to do so as you grow. You are such a sweet and happy girl. We love you so much and are truly blessed to be your parents.
