Olivia Cate..Three Months!

Olivia, you are three months old!! (as of November 14th). I think this month has been the fastest yet! You have really changed a lot this month. Here's what you have been up to!

  • You are a happy girl! You smile all of the time now, especially when we talk to you. You have the biggest and gummiest smile and it melts us every time you smile at us!
  • You are a strong girl. You can hold your head up on your own and have been able to since  you were 2.5 months.
  • You have found your voice and are talking and cooing all of the time now! It is the sweetest sound we have ever heard.
  • You like to try and sit up now. If we lay you on your back you try so hard to lift your head up but you can't quite figure out how to do that yet.
  • You still love your bath and you get one every other night.  You are getting so big and splash water out when you flap your arms and legs! We can't turn our backs for one second or you will flip out.
  • You are eating between 4-5 ounces every 3-4 hours. If you are sleepy, you usually only eat about 2 ounces. One day this month you didn't eat very well during the day and ate an 8 oz bottle that night. It only happened one time but we couldn't believe how much  you ate!
  • You are getting mostly formula now and about 6 oz of breast milk each day. Being back at work has really hurt my milk production. I am going to try and keep pumping until you go to daycare. I am very happy that I have been able to do it for three months.
  • You are sleeping pretty consistently from 10:30-5:30 or 6:00 each day. Last night you slept from 9:30 - 8:00 when Daddy had to wake you up!!
  • You have started staying awake longer during the day.
  • You are sleeping in  your crib every night now. We put you down and you never cry or fuss. You don't like to take naps in your crib though. You prefer your swing still for napping. We are working on this and hope to get you napping in your crib before you start daycare.
  • You still love your swing. You are getting so big we are going to have to start buckling you in soon!
  • You are wearing 3 month clothes and size one diapers. Some of the 3 month clothes are a little short on you because you are so long! You are even wearing some 6 month pajamas.
  • You like to be held.
  • We are not sure how much you weigh or how long you are now. We go back to the doctor next month and I can't wait to see how much you have grown!
  • You like your car seat and sometimes when you are really fussy we put you in there and it calms you down.
  • You love to go for rides in the car.
  • When you are fussy, you liked to be held and like for us to walk around with you. If we sit down, you start fussing again.
  • You love music. We bought you a soother for your crib and you seem to really like that. You also love your cat that plays music and has flashing lights. As soon as we turn it on, you get the biggest smile on your face!
  • You like to be outside and it seems to calm you down if you are upset.
  • I still kiss your cheeks about 5,463 times a day. This will probably never change.
  • You put your hands in your mouth a lot. You even sucked your thumb a few times this month!
  • Your Mimi was here this month keeping you so I could go back to work. Bepe came out to visit you too! They love you so very much and were very sad to leave you.
  • Your Nan is here now keeping you and she is so happy to be here with you!
  • We are so thankful that you will have this special time with your Grandparents. They all love you so much.

  • Olivia,
This month has been so fun! Your little personality is really starting to come out. You are such a happy and good baby. You bring so much joy to our lives. We love to watch you grow and learn new things and can't wait to see what fun things you will learn this month. We are so honored to be your parents and love you more than you could ever imagine. We thank God for giving you to us. You are such a special little girl and we love you so very much.
    Love,
    Momma and Daddy
