Baby Update: 16 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights from this week:

How far along? 16 weeks

Size of the baby? About the size of an avocado, 4.5 inches

Maternity Clothes? I bought some maternity jeans yesterday and they are fabulous!!! Still wearing all of my other regular clothes. I was trying on jeans at Motherhood and came out of the dressing room and told the lady working that this was my first experience buying maternity jeans. She asked me how far along I was and when I told her 16 weeks she said,"Oh my gosh, it's time! We see women come in as early as 6 weeks!" It made me feel pretty good that I made it at least this long. 

Gender? Don't know yet but we find out on March 29th and can't WAIT!!!!  Anyone want to guess what we are having??

Movement? Can't feel anything yet but hopefully in the next few weeks. 

Sleep? I am sleeping pretty well right now. Still very tired at night so no trouble at all falling asleep! 

Cravings?  I haven't really had any cravings. Still pretty hungry but it seems to be tapering off some. I can go longer spans without having to eat. Still loving fruit. I have also been eating Fruity Pebbles this week. So good! 

Symptoms?  This week I felt pretty good. Thank goodness! Still having a little shortness of breath and very tired at night. I woke up this morning with a migraine for the first time since being pregnant. It was not fun since I can't take anything but feeling much better now. 

What I miss?  Still miss Sushi and diet Dr. Pepper

Milestones? Making it to 4 months!  Each week we are getting a little closer!  

What I am nervous about?  I am not really nervous about anything right now. I am very anxious for our appointment on the 29th. This is the appointment where they will do the anatomy scan to make sure the baby is growing properly and we will also find out the gender that day. Just praying every day that our sweet baby is healthy!! 

What I'm excited about? Finding out the gender and getting to go shop for the baby! We went looking again today but it is just so hard if you don't know the sex. 

We did buy some diapers today! We figured we would start stocking up a little at a time so we won't go broke buying diapers all at once. They are so little!! I don't know much about diaper brands so we will see if we like this kind. 

And now for the bump picture. Please excuse the way I look. No shower, no make up and dirty hair. . . Hey, at least I got dressed today! Grant said my stomach doesn't look this big in person so I am going with what he says ;-)
